The Old Cape Henry and New Cape Henry Lighthouses
The Cape Henry Lighthouse are located on Fort Story, VA near Virginia Beach. This is a base and you are required to produce ID and prepare to have your vehicle searched.
We arrived just after a rainstorm which offered beautiful skies just before sunset and great warm color for pictures. We spent about 1 hour photographing the different angles of both lighthouses. This also gave me the puddles to capture the lighthouse reflections.
We went back the next day during the hours that you can go in Old Cape Henry Light. You will notice one picture was taken from within Old Cape Henry of New Cape Henry. We have beautiful weather both days.

Chesapeake Bay Lighthouses
We took a tourist trip on a ship to view three of the Chesapeake Lighthouses in the Bay: Thomas Point Shoals, Sandy Point Shoal and Baltimore Harbor Light.
I didn't have much control over the time of day, therefore the lighting, but still got some great shots of these three lighthouses which cannot be seen well from land. I was particularly impressed with the Victorian style of Sandy Point.
